Choose thoughtfully, play safely. Please review the age recommendations, warnings, and instructions for each product before buying or using it.

Choking hazards and small parts

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD — Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. This warning applies to toys and games identified as containing small parts; always check the specific product listing and manufacturer’s packaging for the warnings that apply to your item.

Keep small balls and toys with small parts away from children under 3. Keep toys intended for older children out of reach of younger siblings. Read and follow all product-specific warnings before play.

Age guidance and safe play

Follow the manufacturer’s age guidance and choose toys suited to the child’s interests and abilities. Do not assume that all sensory, squishy, or collectible toys have the same age recommendation. Check the label for each individual item. Adult supervision does not replace the stated age restrictions.

Remove and safely discard plastic wrapping and other packaging before giving a toy to a child. If a toy appears damaged, dangerous, or malfunctions, stop using it and keep it away from children.

Product identification

Keep the product packaging, manufacturer details, model or item number, and any batch or tracking codes for reference. These details can help identify an item when checking a recall or contacting the manufacturer. If you have questions about a product’s labeling or identity, contact us before use.

Check recalls and safety alerts

Visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recalls and product safety warnings to check an item. Compare the brand, model, photos, and identifying details in the notice with your product.

If your item matches a recall, stop using it, keep it away from children, and follow the official recall notice for next steps and any available remedy.

You can report an unsafe product or incident at SaferProducts.gov. For more general guidance, visit the CPSC toy safety resource center.
